Every ram I have ever seen seems to have a dual exhaust out the back. My 2019 ram 1500 classic SLT has one out the side. Wondering my options on upgrading the exhaust.

That's funny - now that you mention it I recall seeing all 1500s with two and all 2500/3500 with one. I'm thinking some of the 1500 have notches in the bumper on each side. That could definitely complicate the modification.

Just curious - is it the look of it you are going for? I agree it looks pretty cool to have 2 rather than 1. Flow-wise one big pipe often has far more cross-sectional area than two smaller ones. I don't know much about exhaust but know a lot about plumbing and the flow from larger pipes is surprising. For example a 4" pipe allows double the flow of a 3" pipe - Again, this is water and draining so virtually no pressure. I'm sure auto exhaust is a whole different beast.

No not necessarily going for the "look" of the dual exhaust. My bumper doesn't have the notches for the exhaust either. Just wondering what I could do for performance and sound if I decide to change things up.

This magnaflow kit retrofits to the single exhaust trucks and doesn't require the dual cut-out rear bumper. The tips are smaller at 3.5" and hang just below the bumper. I had this kit on my old single side exit exhaust 2013. The tips if properly adjusted don't hang any lower then the trailer hitch does. Your 2019 Classic is the identical truck as my old 13 when it comes to the exhaust system.

I have a 2011 Ram with single exhaust. I put a Flowmaster HD50 in place of stock muffler with a 3 inch pipe to reach tailpipe. Ha been on truck for 8 years and no rust or problems. Sounds good, not loud and no drone. Was designed especially for the hemi with a 4 inch chamber and 3 inch inlet and outlet. Have muffler, K&N drop in filter and flashpak tuner. With 392 gears and 17 inch tires truck run [email protected] mph in quarter mile with 2.05 sixty foot time. Can buy kit with muffler and pipe but it cost a little more. I did mine in my driveway in 1 hour.

I ordered a new bumper with the notches and I’m doing straight exhaust

That looks like the Magna Flow single in, dual out I had on my '09 1500 SLT 5.7 3.92.
No bumper cutouts, just hung under it. One was always just a little cockeyed no matter how many beers I drank under that truck. Too many pieces. You need 5 arms to get it just right.
