I've owned one of these for about a year but I haven't needed to use it yet so it is still in the box. I dont really have room to keep it assembled at the moment in the garage so it will probably stay boxed for a while. I saw the tire step in another thread a while back and it looked like it would be pretty useful.

I like that they are long, so I don't have to move the damn ladder all the time. It's nice to walk side to side in the front of the truck if I need to.

I use a Wagner platform. I am not near it but i think it is about 42 inches long and 24 inches tall and you can lock the legs so it will not collapse during use. They are not expensive and light weight. You can buy them at Lowe's, Home Depot or wherever Wagner products are sold.

They make a wide plastic 3 step ladder/stool type thing, we use at work and places like jiffulube ect also use them

Probably going to get one of those tire steps. And the Gorilla / Werner platform is close to what I want, but I want the base to be wider than the bench so I don't have to worry about it kicking out. I'll just make that.

Unfortunately I am too OCD to let a dealership work on this vehicle. I've opened the hood on my 2017 Taurus 3 times since I bought it with 3 miles on it. The dealership does it all. Been a nice change since I have always done everything except putting tires on rims. I don't have a Dodge dealer local to me I would trust.

I use a Gorilla Ladders Platform, keep it in the back seat on the floor, when we pull the camper. Use it in the Garage to get under the hood also. I caught it on sale for Black Friday in 2019, one of the Best Accessories I got for the Truck...

I like to set things up romantically. start getting ready at dusk. by the time i have the candles, and soft jazz playing in the background, its dark.

I clear out the garage. pull in the truck and pop the hood.

by the time the wife gets home i have everything ready. She walks in the front door to warm ambient lighting, and rose petals scattering the hallway.

Her desires start to take over, and her lust for me grows.

As she follows the rose petal trail to the garage. She begins to hear the music, and smells the delicate scent of the candles.

As she opens the door and turns the corner i notice her.

PERFECT! hey babe, get on your hands and knees so i can stand on your back to change these plugs will ya?

I have one of the tire steps, very useful, super easy to use. Only one downside is that it's kind of a high step even with stock 20" wheels.
Purchased it at northern tool on sale a few years back and its definitely worth the money.

I just ordered a four position step that hangs over the tire.
any web search will turn up many styles.
