Send a private message to ram cares. They will get to the bottom of it.

Also talk extended warranty.

Amazing how dealers are all cool and helpful when you come in and drop 50 to 70k down for a new truck, than when you have and issue after you've bought it, they aren't interested in helping you out with your warranty, or giving some line of crap why it will take months, or they aren't able to fix the problem. Total BS.

Seems more common than I thought about quality control with issues with these trucks.

So, saw this thread pop up. OP, Craig Anderson, your last post was Jan 15th - we need an update. What was the final outcome. Did it get fixed, was RamCare any help, did the dealer finally straighten up. Sure hope it worked out okay.

I have a Laramie 2022 with eTorque. So far so good. As far as Stop/Start it is Horse.S. I also have it in my Honda Pilot 2019. I turn the dam thing off in either car as soon as I start the engine. First, I noticed Start/Stop was in 2005 in England I was there on an audit. I taught it was BS then and I stiil do. Just thing how much damage you cause to the engine and other moving parts with all that start/stop. Life of any equipment electrical or mechanical ditrectly related to steady state operation.

As far as this issue, lemon laws are only option there is. Banks or finacial instutions don't give a dam. It is your signature on the line. Dealrs either don't have the knowledge or don't care. I found that hard way with my 2017 Ram Laramie LongHorn air suspension. Make your life happy and stay away from air suspension.

So here is the thing I am seeing. Ram dealerships are famous for not wanting to give loaners.
It's not Ram dealerships.
Ford is doing the same from what I am reading on the Mustang forums.

Loaners have always been a courtesy based on availability, not an entitlement. With the exception of a few of the higher end extended warranties having language for "rental assistance", there never has been official language by FCA/Stellantis that dictates loaners for warranty or recall repairs.

My Mopar extended warranty has clear wording in it re rental assistance etc. Would be surprised if the base 36 month warranty doesn't. Will have to take a read through it. Have never had any issue with them, Lexus or Toyota giving me a loaner, even if the vehicle was only in for a few hours.

Hmmmmmm,...........maybe Lexus and Toyota, maybe??

But, the big 3 are having issues with giving out loaners. Have you ever seen any dealership's service department lately?? Pretty packed. (you know that getting parts and getting people to work is pretty tough these days.)
I'm not saying all dealerships are like this, but I will bet most are.

Even if there is explicit wording involved, they can't give you what they don't have. And I think that's largely the issue taking place now.

Hello. I was hoping my first post would be something positive like how much I am enjoying my new, beautiful truck. But no. I picked up my 2022 Laramie Hemi-eTorque in November. I immediately noticed the start/stop system did not work. It would say "Not ready" with no other explanation. After waiting a month to get into the dealer, I found out it was built incorrectly at the factory. The truck was given the wrong computer (basically). Now Ram is dragging their feet and my brand new truck is sitting at a dealer going on week 2. This is my 4th Ram and the first time I have had any issues. I am bummed out and regretting the eTorque very much. I figured year three they would have the bugs worked out. I was wrong. To make matters worse, they do not have a loaner car to give me. I am self employed and have no indication on when problem will resolve. Rant over.
I just have the same exact issue. 2022 Ram 1500 5.7 with etorque. Engine errors and start/ stop issues with only 850 miles on it. Been is shop for 4 days now with no solution it sight yet. It almost cause us to wreck. Not sure I have faith in truck anymore.

Sorry about your issues OP.

My buddy just turned in his lease for his new lease with is a Limited, pretty loaded up with the air ride.
Hates it. He says he should of kept the 2019. Says it cannot tow like his last Ram. Same 5.7 gas engine. The gearing is different. I don't think he has the 3.92 gears in this truck. (I think he said after you take the trailer off, the air ride is supposed to release or something like that? I'm not sure, I never tow, but even the tech that went for a ride said something is very wrong.) The RPM tach was all over the place when towing as well. Like the truck was straining or going up a hill, but it was on level ground, which he had video of. Videotaping the events as they happened with the tech in the passenger seat.
He's called Chrysler and they never called him back? Who do you think he can call to get the situation escalated?

People are writing on how to defeat (turn off) the auto stop feature all over the blogs. Now we have one who wants it turned on. Only in America :)

Think this is bad ask ford and chevy people how long their trucks have been in the shop. It is not just ram it's all vehicles. It's the world we live in and material shortage is a real thing and we still haven't hit rock bottom.

it may also be that the chips they are getting are sub par because there regular supplier is short and same with air suspension may be sub par due to supplier issues. myself i got bit once on a 2014 laramie with air suspension will never get it again, and also it could be when they get parts they are rushing to assemble and not checking before release.

California Lemon Laws are among the easiest to go through

But i believe there is a 3 chances rule, or a certain number of days

I guessed with your first post that they forgot to program the Etorque, or a mistake was made in the programming

Once a dealership disassembles a part of vehicle to make a repair & then they find out the part is on back order, they will not put the parts back on for 3 reasons, that part may come in within a couple of days & they want to be able to work on it as soon as it comes in, or a REP is suppose to come look at it & determine what Chrysler is going to do.
The 3rd thing is that they won't be paid to reassemble it & disassemble it again to get to where they are right now.

Silly but true

The original poster just checked in last Tuesday,
so they were not a complain & run type poster
Hopefully they will keep us informed

Wonder what happened with the OP and his case..........he probably dumped it and got something else. Wouldn't blame him.
