It's anyone's guess at this point. All I can say is it better look good if they want to convert Hemi owners over to it.

That is probably the Electric version, I'm sure Ram will be having one coming.

The replacement engine for the Hemi is pretty slick. It's a inline 6 with two turbochargers. The engine was designed by BMW. do not know if it will be imported or licensed for USA manufacturing. Two versions, 400 & 500 hp.. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Well, as a former BMW guy let me tell you that once they go turbo, you will miss the V8. For generations BMW was famous for their amazing 6-cyl engines. There was just something majestic about them. You really had to drive one to appreciate it. Then a few years ago they switched over to a twin turbo 4-cyl. It wasn't the same driving experience. Yes, they were very good engines with tons of power and statistically performed better than the old 6, but to a lot of the BMW faithful it was like being cheated on. They just didn't drive the same. It's hard to describe, but they just didn't drive like a BMW should.

I'm sure the turbo V6 will be pretty awesome....but for Hemi V8 purists you will not like it.

Was looking forward to getting a new Ram with this engine. But designed by BMW? Wonder if it will suck up oil like so many of their engines do. By the way, the new Hurricane engine is an inline 6, not a V

If it has a BMW plastic radiator in it too… just… no. BMW made some sweet in-line 6 naturally aspirated engines, I will give them that. Haven’t experienced a turbo BMW I liked that much. Their 4.4L v8 naturally aspirated used in the e38 7 series might be my fav engine of all time.

My dealer who I bought several trucks from said that RAM will still come with the V8 for a few more years. Many of us that are V8 Hemi Purist will resist electric vehicles and 6 cylinders in our full size trucks.
Beside all these EV batteries are made in China. Musk is complaining about batteries went up over sky high. And another EV company said there will be an EV battery shortage due to CHINA COVID LOCKDOWNS.
THE SENILE CIRCUS MONKEY CLOWN IS TRYING HARD WITH THESE EV ******** VEHICLES.

If they put the 6 cylinder that they use in the Giulia Quadrifoglio they might have something :)

First post I'm considering a Ram 1500 Limited. 've found this forum very helpful in my research.
