Driving home from a 80 or so mile drive the truck started to misfire at about 70mph with cruise control on. So i slowed down to 50ish and floored it to 85 and the problem didn't come back till I got like 5 minutes from home. And same thing. So I floored it again from like 30 and went to 95 or so and got home fine. I threw the code reader in when I got home and it read those 2 codes p1128 and p1129. No loss of power when floored through so that kind of rules out the fuel pump. Im guessing maybe an injector clogged but it was a dangerous issue that I dont want to happen again. Any help or other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

When it misfired it went from about 2k rpm to 1k rpm only for a second. It was a sudden loss of power and it did it a few times. So i put it in tow haul and then od off and it still did it, it went from like 3k cruising rpms, down to about 2k rpms and jumped back up. So i floored it and the problem went away for a while.

I'd likely replace the 02's but friend of mine had the same codes your experiencing.
He tried the obvious fixes to no avail.

He cleaned throttle body and replaced EGR valve and problem went away.

Ok great thanks! I'll try the egr I guess. I tried the tb already. Im going to run a fuel pressure test when I get out of work. Truck is totally dead now. It won't even start

Weak batteries and corroded grounds can do funny things to these trucks.

I'd clean the terminals and body ground and see if it takes a charge .

While you're at it, make sure your voltage is good. A good battery should be about 12.6VDC with the vehicle off and, if you can get it started, around 13.5-14.3VDC at idle (at least that's what I've seen on mine). FYI, 12.2VDC is considered about 25% of full charge.

So have you found the solution by chance? Mine is throwing the same codes as well as a P0522 which has to do with the oil pressure switch. I have already replaced it and it quite throwing that code for awhile but now it's back to doing it again.

So on mine I replaced the throttle body and the map semsor I think it's called it's basically a mass air flow it's in the same spot anyway and and I'm thinking it might be the 02 sensors but the problem is that old pressure switch code I don't understand and The battery is AOK I've checked it out already. And I get decent fuel mileage as well. Around 19 or 20 on the highway

Ok so update. I cleared the codes and it made it about 5 miles down the road before doing it again and now it will start fine but as soon as I start to go it dies. Not sure what's up with it. Any help would be appreciated

Ok so I got it back home barely. Now it is throwing different codes. I'm getting a P0122, P0335 and a P0522. Something isn't right I just don't know what

I've been having the same problems with my 2007 5.7L for a couple years, on and off. There have been dozens of codes that have popped up intermittently, even after replacing the "bad" sensors. I'm starting to lean toward a faulty ECM. Passenger headlight quit working a while back even after replacing bulb and connector. I read somewhere that the only way to fix it without replacing the ECM is to basically hard wire it into the working headlight.
Also, my truck is currently parked while I drive a company truck.

I replaced the crankshaft sensor earlier today and it's been running fine ever since. Only put about 20 miles on it but seems to be running fine. The only code that popped up since is the oil pressure sensor, which was replaced a few months ago. I bought a camshaft sensor as well but didn't install it yet. Figured I'd wait until it messes up again.
