GM Tow mirrors on.

Just installed tow mirrors. Got them on Amazon.

Need to wire in the reverse and running lights. Anyone know where to tie into those inside the truck?

Waiting for my security cable and Bluetooth OBD 2 reader to get here today so I can use JScan to turn on puddle lights and turn signals.

View from drivers seat is much better. Can’t wait to see what its like with camper hooked up.

They look great I'm thinking about getting these as well, one thing I was pondering with them, how do you extend them when towing?

Just pull them out. They are manual and just slide.

Looks good. How does the distance between the door/mount and the outside edge (when slid completely IN) compare with the original mirrors?

So I added some myself. What did you do to get the puddle lights working? I added them through alphaobd, but they still don't turn on

I got them to turn on, but they were very dim. I used JScan. I forget what option I turned on for them to light. I put in different lights hoping they’d be brighter, but the just flashed so I turned me off.

I came across this forum when looking up Chevy tow mirrors on ram. Why is it necessary to program (or add sales code to) the mirrors? Why can’t they be hardwired to signal wire?

They could be I guess, but there is a module in the door that you just plug the wire harness into. Not sure if hardwiring would pop a code. Much cleaner to use the module and harness already there.

I had these on my 2016 GMC. For towing they are far superior to the stock Ram ones, however, be extra cautious as you will have a big blind spot looking to the left at a light etc. It’s possible for cars and pedestrians to be blocked from view.
