Short version- P000B is causing CEL. I need to get it resolved for emissions so I can get my tag. Bigger cam and a reused cam solenoid. Don't have the money at the moment to buy a new solenoid but after cam job, could tuning have anything to do with this issue? VVT was deleted during the tune.
Long version- Was driving through Buford GA getting on the off ramp and truck slow rolled to the stop light and died on me. Started it back up and slowly choked like it was out of gas. No ticking but just lifeless. Started a third time and (chatter chatter chatter erf) died again. Wouldn't turn over after that. Got the truck towed home, dropped the oil plug and blammo anti-freeze.....then oil. Fingers were crossed for a blown head gasket but nope. Pulled the head and the number 1 intake valve, piston, and block decided to fist fight it out! All three lost! Bouncing back and forth between military obligations, covid break out, and the riots in Atlanta, took me almost 4 years to get back on the road. Forgot to mention I was 3 payments away from a paid off 2014 Ram when this happened. Bought a donor motor and began the build in my garage. Not my first build and wont be my last as I'm working on a 6.0 LQ block now. Anyway, replaced ALL gaskets, seals, nuts, bolts....you name it, except for sensors because I had no CEL's prior. Finally got the truck from tuning this past summer and everything was fine until it came time to get a new tag. I now have a CEL after a new bigger cam, VVT delete, and full head build in house. Yes I did reuse the Cam solenoid again because I had no issues before. Is there any need for this solenoid as I did put a new cam phaser so the timing may be off anyway. What is it actually reading? Can this be tuned out? Is it because of the bigger cam that this is triggered or is it the actual solenoid?
Sorry for the long read but think I gave all the information needed to take a few guesses at this.
