If your problem is the same, it is very easy to check. Four screws removes the left taillight. Unplug it and check parasitic draw. For me, I didn't even need to see the parasitic draw. I just waited 10 minutes which was when my dash cluster would wake back up. After 10 minutes it did not. I confirmed with parasitic draw test, and all has been fine ever since with a new taillight. Ordered mine through amazon for $100 and took the blindspot sensor out of my old taillight and put it in the new taillight. It's been over three months without any issue.
Thanks, that's great info.
Did you see a bulb-out notification, blind-spot sensor failure or any other DTCs that directed you to the taillight housing?
Unfortunately, our trucks are loaded with electronics and potential points of failure.
Between the miles of wire, connectors, and a myriad of electronic modules, the possibilities are almost endless.
The solution for one type of failure may not apply to others.
