    Exhaust smell

Have a 5.7 Hemi that needed to have the manifolds replaced. They did both sides, but we are still getting a strong exhaust smell in the cab. Took it back and was told that it is normal for maybe the first 500 miles. I am having a hard time believing this. Any thoughts?

2020 2500 limited mega cab diesel on coil springs or 2024 2500 limited mega cab diesel with self leveling air suspension ?

Here we go again, negative comments about something the guy doesn't have. We have a 1500 with four corner air and it sits outside in 100 degrees and zero degrees. Have over 40K miles and pull a travel trailer. No issues in fact I like the system when loading and unloading. Oh, and the truck has...

    Keep looking back

Ok here goes. I have driven Fords my whole adult life. Have had 250s and 150s. In 2021 purchased a Ram 1500 Longhorn limited. Very nice truck and with a few exceptions have had no issues with it. It pulls the travel trailer fine and is comfortable but. With that being said I am always being...

    Manifold leak

Took the truck into the dealer Monday night so they could start it and hear it cold in the morning. Sure enough warped manifold. They said it will take a month and a half to get the new part. I asked them why they don't have it in stock being a known problem. They said something about covid...

    Air Suspension - who knew?

I have pulled 5th wheels and travel trailers for over 30 years, always used WDH and still do. In my opinion, the four-corner air is the best in so many ways. Leveling, handling and comfort. I have read some negative reviews on the system but I would order it again.

    Manifold leak

It looks like we may have the manifold issue as well. Heard the tick and then started to smell exhaust inside the truck when idling. Called the dealership and they said, never heard of it. So we took it to the dealership and had them listen and smell the exhaust. That service writer said it was...

    Awesome truck

Just got back from a trip around Washington state pulling a 27ft, 9k travel trailer. Once again so impressed with this Ram 1500. The four-corner air is a fantastic thing when loading and unloading the trailer. The ride is smooth, and it has plenty of power. I am not a fast driver mostly drive...

    Goodyear Endurance Trailer Tires

Just installed a set of Goodyear Endurance tires, 235/80/16 on the travel trailer. Discount Tire set them at 80 pounds, but it makes the trailer bouncy. The trailer weighs. 7500 pounds so I am thinking about setting the tire pressure at 70 pounds to get some to the bounce out. Any thoughts?

The truck does still get hot but like before the shades.

    Window shades

The truck sits outside and where we live it gets hot in the summer and cold in the winter. We have worried about the truck getting too hot. Yesterday the Weathertech window shades arrived. They are fantastic. Custom made for the year and model; all the window shades fit perfectly. What a...

    Tow/Haul Button

We have had tow haul in a number of Fords and used it when pulling the travel trailer. Now we have a 2021 Ram 1500 and it is the best we have had. Pulling the trailer on a downhill it holds extremely well. Actually we found that everything on the Ram is better than the Ford except for keyless...

Knob dial vs shift on console

I like the dial shifter it opens up the space between the front seats. I like the storage and the cup holders. If that is the only thing holding you back from a Ram, you weren't going Ram anyway.

    Towing Help! 2023 Ram 1500 5.7L V8 eTorque, 4x4, Crew Cab, short bed, 3.21

We did the same thing, bought the truck and then bought the Airstream. Truck was a good idea but the Airstream not so much.

    Love this 1500

I know some of you won't like this thread because it is positive, but here goes. We have had this truck for two years and we are still in love with it. Have had Fords starting in 1992 and have pulled hundreds of thousands of miles with them, but nothing compares to this RAM. Comfortable, quiet...

    back seat lights

longhorn limited back seat lights do not come on when touched. They flicker but will not stay on. Any ideas as to why?

    Towing gas mileage

Yes, I think that is correct. We pull a TT about 9K and have noticed that mileage is a bit better without Tow Haul.

    Tow/Haul and Air suspension

I think it is a fantastic feature. Auto leveling and WDB are a great combo.

    2021 ram 1500 etorque problems

I ordered the system and would again. I like the system and show me any part of the truck that has not gone bad. For those of you that don't have the system don't buy one, but I am tired of hearing from you because you have no idea what you are talking about.

What do you like about your Ram...

Always a Ford guy but this time I felt the dealer was trying to take advantage of us. Took it for granted that we would order another F-150. Low balled the trade. Ram dealer stepped up and we order a 1500. Glad we did, very nice truck. Air suspension is a must for us now.

    Thinking of buying 1500 laramie

Why is it that the people that doen't have things like Air Suspension 4 corners, know all about them? We have them and would not be without them again. We live in a very cold area and have had no problems ever.

    Going back to Ram.

Sounds like a great truck. I have etorque and like it. I would have gone 3:55 if it was an option. Went with the 3:92 and have no complaints.

    Which engine?

I have a 2021 with etorque and like it. There is a very good youtube explanation of the system that you might find interesting. No storage loss with the etorque battery. If the weight of the battery is a concern, then I would opt for a larger truck. It seems to me that many of the stories I read...

    Seattle to Portland - 16.6mpg

Have the same combo you have in our 2021 1500. We do get better than 16.6 but under 20 for sure. The comfort and safety make up the difference for us.
