The truck sits outside and where we live it gets hot in the summer and cold in the winter. We have worried about the truck getting too hot. Yesterday the Weathertech window shades arrived. They are fantastic. Custom made for the year and model; all the window shades fit perfectly. What a difference. Easy in and easy out. The inside of the truck is dark and much cooler.

Glad they worked out for you, have you thought about window vent that allow you to crack the windows to allow ventilation? Personally, I have the AVS outside the window mounted with 3M double sided tape.

This is the second summer for mine. They are great, especially this time of year.

I have the Weathertech shades for all 3 of my currently registered vehicles, and they do a fantastic job. The difference they make overall makes them worth the money.

I have these as well, and what a difference. My last truck took a beating on the interior while parked in the same spot, so hoping this will help. Temp wise is sure does, so have to think it will. Anyone tinted the drivers/passengers windows yet?

I've been thinking about trying this:
Pre-Cut Window Tint

A customer of mine has those like yours in his 4-Runner. It isn't quite as good as the Weather tech, IMHO.

Xcel makes a window tint which is ceramic. It's expensive, and works well. I have been unable to justify the very high cost, and, with my window shades, I can live with them!

I bit the bullet and went with ceramic tint all around except the windshield which is illegal here. The difference in interior temp before and after is 20 plus degrees. Was well worth $375. Coupled with the windshield shade it works well to keep the interior cooler and the UV rays out.

I had a local pro do 20% on everything but the windshield (illegal). It does reduce the interior temps a great deal. But I still like the additional Weathertech shades all around for when the vehicle sits outside, parked.

I prefer to buy the AVS in-channel, it looks cleaner and I've had that darn double sided tape after a few years not hold up in a auto car wash, that was no fun removing the tape adhesive...

I have the weathertech in channel, and the weather tech sun shades. I don't love leaving my windows open when I park, and the little bit they cover doesn't seem to do much.

The shades help a lot, when I remember to put them up, and/or do the whole deal. At least across like a shopping trip. Truck still gets hot AF if it sits for a few days.
