So, I was looking at replacing the garbage stock MIT on my truck and was wondering if anyone has tried using the MIT from the AirAid Kit 302-277 and not the rest of the kit.
AirAid used to offer the MIT alone but for some reason they no longer do. I contacted their customer support and although...
Please make sure that your USB Stick is formatted as FAT32 and not NTFS. NTFS is not recognizable by the system in your truck. Took me awhile to realize that and thought that I was crazy.
OP, I ask that you add this to your information if possible.
Gas Mileage was a slight consideration. The reason it was considered was that I was buying a truck as a daily driver and after spending a shit ton of money on it, I wanted to be able to gas it up until I could get money back into the savings account. I did take into account when purchasing it...
Great info, thanks! Which Mothers product would you suggest? Is there one that you prefer over the others? This isn't a show truck so $250 on wax is a little steep. I still have some Meguiars leftover, but I'll probably look into Mother's for my next polish and compare the two. I will also check...
The day I picked up my truck, my brother went with me; when I dropped him off after, I beeped to say see yah and I think I scared the hell outta both of us. Sometimes, I can get a quick beep out of it but usually it is the "Get the hell outta my way!" horn.
I have never seen Adams in store around my house but that may be due to the price of it. It would probably be something I have to get online. Usually I just see, Meguiars, Mothers, Turtle, and a couple generic brands.
Another thing I came to notice was that when using your phone on bluetooth through the truck speakers, you can transfer it back to the phone on the 8.4a/n. I thought it would transfer automatically when I turned my truck off the first time got out and I still heard them talking through the truck...
My step father had a Cadillac STS that did that and my big ass was trying to move it out of a tight spot for them at a party and every time I went to back up the mirrors would move out of my range of vision. I'm very glad my truck doesn't have it. It was more of a nuisance than it was beneficial...
Took the girlfriend on a road trip to the mountains for a week and came back and helped her with her horse. Put about 1,000 miles on it. Edging up toward 4k already.
Looking at throwing a coat of wax on the truck before Winter and was wondering what everyone's favorite wax was. First coat I put on was Mequiar's Cleaner Wax. Gave it a very nice deep shine and after 3 months is still looking good and will probably use it again. Just curious to what others use...
I do not know how the computer systems work in the truck, but I do work in IT and am an avid Android OS smartphone guy. I can tell you that they cannot tell how many times a normal computer or phone has been flashed. I flash a new mod to my phone about once a week and I've had to make claims for...
I do not envy you at all. Mornings here are about 40°F and I love it. Nice crisp morning air that you can toss the windows down in the truck on the way to work still (Despite most people around here thinking I'm crazy for doing so)
Man, that sounds horrible. People here (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) complain when it hits 65°F outside. I'm normally good til about 0°F and then I will start to complain. -50°C (-58°F) sounds terrible though. Burla would be a great person to talk to as he really knows his stuff about oil. I'm new...
Haha, nice. I think mine picked it up in a hurry since 8-5 every M-F is the same routine. Looking to see how the MPG differs this coming weekend on about a 6 hour road trip. Hopefully it increases quite a bit.
Mine stickered at $39,900 and I got it out the door at about $32,000 before trade / cash down. I Think you can get it lower than that. Shoot for 28k-29k, worst they will do is tell you that they can't do that price.
I see a lot of vehicles like that, but I live in Pennsylvania in the unfortunate "Rust Belt" so things go to shit quick up here if you do not take care of them. It's amazing to me how many people nowadays have no idea how to wax their car/truck by hand and think that running it through the car...
The Owners Manual says to use 5w-20. I have another thread that may be better to hijack (http://www.ramforum.com/f38/best_synthetic_oil-37787/), Burla knows his stuff and gave some very useful information.
