I'm having a tough time understanding what I need for a stall in a new torque converter, my truck has 5.9 360 mostly stock, 3.55 gears 4x4, 33in tires and 46re transmission any help with a stall that will make this truck feel a little more peppy off the line
Sounds like the resistor is shot. Pull it out (its two small bolts) and see if the small metal strip under the ceramic block has come unattached from it.
Hey guys I am working on my front end and I am needing the cv axle C clips the circled one in the attached photo. Also has anybody used the heavy duty cv axles off of Rock Auto?
I would check your coil. Have you checked to see if you have spark? Dodge put the coil in a bad place for water in the front of the engine bay open in my opinion.
This has really got me thinking, but when i press my parking brake to use it the brake light no longer comes on. Is there a Sensor on the pedal itself or somewhere else? Its adjusted right and works like its suppose too just no light on the cluster and just in case someone else was to drive it...
Sweet i thin that would work best for me. I use mine as a work truck no performance really other than red light to red light lol but i do alot of towing with it
I was doing some more digging and it seems alot are just mounting the fan to the radiator its self and putting the shroud back on around it. Which would be better?
I was hoping you would post on this with some awesome knowledge and you did. Which is great, but i do have a few questions really about the wiring and how you did it. I already have the 180 tstat but the deal with mine is that its a new body style 02 with the 360 would that change everything?
To what i understand it controls the idle that is about it maybe someone who understands it more can help you with an explanation on how it works just sharing my .02 cents
Check the IAC valve on the back of the throttle body, they are known to cause issues when they get dirty. I had one go bad and it was similiar to your symptons but not exact. I wouldnt replace it right away but just clean it and its hole on the throttle body very well.
Im having a similar problem too. Mine stay half lit even when they are off and flicker. They also will not light up bright when the truck is running but do when it is off it is very weird
