I'm having a tough time understanding what I need for a stall in a new torque converter, my truck has 5.9 360 mostly stock, 3.55 gears 4x4, 33in tires and 46re transmission any help with a stall that will make this truck feel a little more peppy off the line

I feel like 2400-2600 is way too high, maybe I just don't understand how it works

The cost of a 3000 lockup stall if you can even find it your lucky. Probably need someone to build one costume. I said 3000 stall because the lockup stall lower than advertised and 3.55 bring stall speed down as well.
Lower gear ratio will do the most for you. You can find 3.90 in stock trucks and Durango at the boneyard

For stock to bolt-on, 2200-2400 is the usual recommendation. Cam, intake and gears will change this but assuming less than 4.10s with larger than 30" tire, I wouldn't stray from it.

The old 4 speed is just a 727 with a overdrive unit on back. You can turn that 46 Re or "727" in to 6 speed 5 speed 4or 3
Non lockup full manual what ever you can handle. There are lots of tricks to beef them up.
2800 to 4000 is $1400
2200to3000 $700 it isn't worth it with out cam gears program blablabla
