Yeah I'm going to see how often of a recurrence this will be....was looking into a spacer anyway...bags definitely if I do this often....Lol yeah I know I found out his license is suspended which is why he pays a decent amount to do this for him
Ok well I went ahead with it earlier than expected since he was in a pinch and I was off....He didnt have the weight distribution hitch or anti sway bars (which I will look into getting myself) .... but then again it's 95% city driving going no more than 25-30mph so not sure how much of an...
Ok that all makes a lot of sense....I will certainly see how it looks after hooking and definitely will take my time while driving....I believe she is a class iv hitch according to the build sheet
Good info thank you...I will ask about the tongue weight....if say he doesnt have the WDH or anti sway, and the tongue is slightly over the 15% mark, I understand it may sag, but does it do anything detrimental to the truck itself. The towing would be infrequent and maybe 10-20 miles at a time...
My buddy asked if I can tow his trailer for spray foam business....I told him basically as long as he shows me the basics since I need to start learning to tow things for myself anyway.
He said I just need to get 2 5/16 tow ball for his trailer. I have the Class IV hitch on my 2018 Express ...
So I need to eventually upgrade this RA1 system which is absolutely useless. I didnt believe a vehicle in 2018 would not have bluetooth so I didn't even ask (yes, my fault). However I've been using a $5 bluetooth module from Walmart in the meantime to play music from phone and make phone calls...
So just an update ... they were not upside down ... the Morimotos actually have an imprint on them for LH and RH which made me 100% sure it was the correct side.
The problem was my attachment of the frame to the housing. You need to make sure the 2 prongs of the Morimoto housing go around the...
Are they supposed to seat tight against the housing? Because honestly I can stick 3 fingers between the bumper and the entire fog housing (other than the bottom which is flush).
Theres a nub on the bottom to tighten and loosen the spring. Other than that I dont know of any other nub. But I...
Yeah i just went out for a drive and I swear I installed these upside down and on opposite ends lol (didnt think that was possible)
The fog lights are shining wayyy higher than my regular projector lights.
1st pic is just Fogs
2nd pic is just Headlights
3rd pic is Fogs/Headlights
Anyone else have issues installing the Morimoto XB Vertical fogs? It seemed pretty straight forward aside from my own errors. But for whatever reason I cant get the housings to look even and the light is definitely not shining at the same height. Tried taking them out and re adjusting but still...
Great to know....yeah so I may go through and start ordering up some of these parts....will get the bypass cable first...Im just about 1hr30 from Dutchess so may definitely be worth the time to take a ride out there....Ill let you know when I get everything going. Thanks a lot!
Ah you are the best....a clear concise list of what I need....I think I am going to start this project next since I believe I have the same ones as you ( manual fold, heated, power adjust ) . Yeah after a lot of reading on the dealers I don't think I would even attempt for them to do my codes...
Say all I have is heated mirrors now...no signals, power fold, puddles etc. , would I just buy these, get the new harness, and upload the codes? Or am i missing something else lol
