tonneau cover, driving me crazy trying to decide.

I use a Tyger trifold. About $220 on Amazon. Loads of great reviews. I’ve been impressed with it so far. The materials seem to be good quality and the installation was easy.

What did you do with your 4th Gen this week?

Added a Tyger tri-fold tonneau cover and a decal from my brother-in-law’s brewery.

    custom grill thread

Sure! Nothing fancy though. 1. Washed the truck 2. Taped off the grill (could also just remove the inserts, but I didn’t want to risk breaking clips) 3. Cleaned the parts to be painted with rubbing alcohol 4. One light coat of plasti dip, then three thick coats 5. One last light dusting of...

This is a small change, but it really helped tone down all the chrome on the front end. Before: After:

    Intermittent Problem With Rotary Shifter

I have also had this happen multiple times and was told by the dealer that no codes were logged, so there wasn’t anything they can do. My truck is a 2019 Classic with 1,100 miles on it. The solenoid behind the rotary shifter is extremely loud for a day or so after each incident, then quiets...

    Synthetic Oil

Really appreciate all of the info in this thread. Thank you. Just did my first oil change on my four month old Ram. I used the gallon freezer bag method for the filter with marginal success. Still had some clean up to do. Will probably try the cut two liter soda bottle next time. Based on...

    Let's see those white RAMs

Here’s a 2019 Classic Big Horn, Hemi, 3.92 gears, anti spin rear diff. It’s almost 4 months old with just over 1,000 miles. It’s debadged because I felt like there was too much chrome, and that was the cheapest way to remove some of it. So far I’ve added the running boards, tow hooks, tinted...

    2019 Ram Classic

Have you guys noticed if the “ECO” light comes on in your classics when the MDS kicks in? Mine doesn’t, but I can feel when the MDS kicks in.

    New Owner - Few Questions/Concerns

Picked up the truck last night. Got cold overnight, so I went out to check this morning, and the seat is fixed! They replaced the “flex plate” and upper seat bracket. At least one issue is resolved. I had them look into the ticking noise again, and they still say everything sounds normal...

    New Owner - Few Questions/Concerns

The only thing occurring during the test drive was the ticking noise. The truck had been delivered earlier that day and was still covered in bugs and some remnants of plastic wrap on various places. During the test drive it almost sounded like there was paper or plastic flapping while driving...

    New Owner - Few Questions/Concerns

Wow. That sounds scary! That’s the thing with all of these trucks nowadays - everything seems to be electronic, and the computers can literally go nuts or flat out shut things down. Nevertheless, it’s discouraging to have issues like these on brand new trucks. Like you, I really like the...

    New Owner - Few Questions/Concerns

Dang, sorry to hear that. Yes, it makes the noise when I press and release the brake pedal. It’s the strangest thing...it’s been getting quieter every day since the day of the shifting malfunction when it started. What all has yours had to go in for so far?

    2019 Ram Classic

At my local dealership they were completely sold out of the 2018’s. They weren’t willing to work much on the 5th gen 2019’s, but they were willing to make really good deals on the 2019 Classics. Sticker on mine was just over 46k, and I paid just over 33k for it.

    2019 Ram Classic

Bought a classic last week as well. Big Horn, CC, 5.7L and 3.93’s. It’s had to go to the dealer already for a few odds and ends, but will hopefully be a reliable truck for many years to come!

Thanks Tantore. I’ll give that a shot at the first oil change.

    New Owner - Few Questions/Concerns

Well, just picked it up from the dealership. Regarding the ticking noise, the dealer says they think I’m hearing the “Hemi Tick.” He went on to explain it’s a common thing, etc. I’ve read about the Hemi tick, and don’t agree, but they say they looked at the manifold studs, etc, and don’t see...

    New Owner - Few Questions/Concerns

Thanks for the advice Jason. I dropped it off at the dealer I purchased from this morning. I also provided the service advisor with the video I recorded to document and demonstrate all three issues. All three issues were documented on the initial paperwork I signed, and I’ll verify they’re...

    New Owner - Few Questions/Concerns

Thanks for the responses everyone. I’ll get in touch with the dealer and schedule an appointment. I’ve managed to record video of all three of these issues/noises as they happen, so hopefully that will be helpful. Cryption, sorry to hear you’re having issues also. Like you, I’m a little...

    New Owner - Few Questions/Concerns

Hi everyone. I’ve been a long time reader here, but just registered an account this evening. Thanks to all of you for the things I’ve learned so far! I bought a new 2019 Ram 1500 Classic last week. It’s a Big Horn Crew Cab 2wd with 3.93 gears, anti spin rear differential, and the 5.7 liter...
