    You need some heavy-gauge cable for whatever amperage you need, fuse at the battery side. there's plenty of room on the driver's side frame rail to secure it.

    You need a canbus module for sure. Maestro iDatalink retains all of the HVAC/etc features if your radio is compatible. Pac audio and Metra have solutions as well. I have a Metra comverter that replaces the 8.4 "faceplate" and hvac controls with a touchscreen.. and I wouldn't recommend it...

    not sure about tuning it out but the issue is possibly simple.. there's a leak detection pump attached to the evap can that is probably faulty. I just changed mine out on a 2016 2500 under similar circumstances. The part is $30 at your favorite parts store.

    I got it at 90k.. so no clue what was done before me. It does run fine on PUP for sure, I'm just not sure that's the best bang for the buck. I'd like to figure out what that tipping point is. In my reading of others' posts here and elsewhere a healthy dose of moly might be what sets PUP apart...

    Top side oil change.

    If you did plumb something in to the drain plug (say via a fumoto valve) you would have to leave the valve open. I'd be worried about road trash potentially taking out that tubing. Not worth it IMO. With a fumoto valve I can do changes on my truck with no mess and no tools. That's the way to go..

    That wasn't the plan.. my hope is to use what's already there. If I end up having to bring a new amp into the mix I'll use the sub out from what's already available on the aftermarket head unit. Going for $0 here..

    I just installed one of these.. it absolutely needs a dash kit. You have a few options there - i went a little expensive and installed a metra turbotouch kit, part number 99-6527B. With the right version of firmware that dash kit retains all you need and works well.

    Ok stupid question

    You need a good ground plane for an antenna to perform well at all. Get some braided copper strap and bond the bed to the frame.. make sure you get good metal to metal contact. Make sure your antenna mount has good metal to metal contact with the bedrail.
