    Mud flaps

We run them on everything to prevent salt buildup but also to prevent chips along the entire length of the lower vehicle. The lack of rear flaps by the previous owner of my truck led to tiny chips on the inside corners of my bumper. Dozens of pinhole sized dings that would have eventually...

Rear .75" or 1" poly spacer, does it exist?

Sweet, I might just try to call them directly. Weird it isn’t on their site.

Rear .75" or 1" poly spacer, does it exist?

Oddly enough Daystar’s own site doesn’t show rears and some of the Amazon reviews for the daystars that are supposed to fit require trimming.

Rear .75" or 1" poly spacer, does it exist?

Howdy folks. Another post reminded me that I'd like to lift my rear end (post Bilstein 2.1" up front lift) about .75" or 1" but I'm having a heck of a time finding a poly spacer. TCG used to carry a 1" poly for the rear but no longer. I see a handful of steel ones and figured I'd reach out to...

Bilstein 5100 leveling shocks verus Coil Spacer Reviewed Ram 1500

Yep, here you are. The ride is substantially better than stock. - Brake dive has been reduced - Body roll has been reduced drastically (no longer feels like a boat, my favorite improvement by far even more than the actual lift itself) - Absorbs small ruts/sticks/rocks etc. during trail driving...

Bilstein 5100 leveling shocks verus Coil Spacer Reviewed Ram 1500

I heard this as well and went with the 2.1" setting up front, no aftermarket UCAs and no rear spacers. The result is .5" higher in the rear, looks great and dead simple. That was about 5k miles ago and zero issues so far.

    Considering a ‘19 RAM Power Wagon or a ‘19 Sierra 1500 AT4

This. Plus you'd save $15k with a rebel (plenty of new loaded rebels in the NE for 40K OTD).

    Just bought my 2020 Limited

Very nice! I've got a black 14' CC. I like the classic 4th gen look but seeing them side-by-side like this (same color helps) I can't help but notice how archaic it looks compared to the 5th. Thanks for the pic and congrats on the truck!!!

    Brake kit for 35s

Ran the Z36 package on our 4Runner after larger tires and did the same on my Ram 1500. Much better and haven't been able to get them to noticeably fade yet (I'm in the Poconos). That said, I've heard great things about R1 rotors and with the coupon that Nick included above, it looks like the...

    Lyell’s stainless muffler review

Just a quick follow-up, heard rattling today and despite crushing the large single pipe with the clamps, it still slides around and rattles. Avoid this exhaust unless you intend on having a shop weld it in, at which point the cost quickly reaches full cat-back. Waste of money and time for me.

    Lyell’s stainless muffler review

Howdy folks, I just installed this exhaust and while it seems fit well, the slip-on clamping seem like an afterthought unless I'm missing something. To keep my tail pipes from being able to freely rotate and slide around I had to basically crush the new pipes over the old ones with enough force...

Paint correction on DD, breaking it up

Thanks! Ended up only having to do a single pass with the 105 on 90% of it with a follow-up using the Menzerna 3500. Before the 105, I was having to do 2 or 3 passes prior to polishing it out.

    Good deal?

Checking the window sticker it turns out that MSRP is dead on. It looks like it has the 20" wheels, side steps, upgraded LED lights, sport appearance package and upgraded sound system with the sub. https://www.chrysler.com/hostd/windowsticker/getWindowStickerPdf.do?vin=1C6RREFT4KN628281

    Good deal?

That base price seems pretty high given that VIN (only optional package is level 2). If you go to the ram website and configure a 4x2 bighorn crew with the 5.7 and level 2 package you're at $41,430. They've added the tint, linter etc. but it's almost as if they conveniently inflated the claimed...

Replacing hubs and CV axles, any no brainers while torn apart?

Howdy folks, the front driver's side wheel bearing is going out. The truck has 109k miles, all factory original up front with the exception of the Bilstein 5100s I installed. Got a pair of Timken wheel hub assemblies on the way and grabbed a pair of CV half-shafts for $65 a side. No issues...

Paint correction on DD, breaking it up

Hey thanks man. I've got a Griots DA/RO 10813STDCRD. I purchased a 5" base for it and use 5.5" pads. The larger 6" and resulting 6.5" pads were too big and clunky for me. The handle of the polisher is removable and comes with plugs. With the handle removed running a 5" disc its super versatile...

    Thoughts on this trade in

Zero chance I’d buy it even if they came down 5k. Too much potential corner cutting on the suspension and most who raise it that high properly (10k+ vs. $1k) wouldn’t sell it so quickly and if they did, they wouldn’t need to dump it at a used car dealership. Pretty truck but man that could be...

Base 6-speaker system HU upgrade clarifications

Howdy, I've got the base 6-speaker system with only the phone oriented buttons on my steering wheel. I also have the backup camera. How To: 4 Ohm Resistor Upgrade For Aftermarket Dash Speakers

Hey folks, just so I understand this clearly, the 8-ohm load on the factory speakers is due to the factory wiring itself NOT the factory head unit correct? I plan to upgrade both head unit and speakers and just wanted to make sure that I'd still need to perform this step to normalize the sound...

"White knuckle" moment - steep driveway, hard brakes, not stopping!

I'm in the poconos and have experienced this post 34" wheel & tire setup with a heavy load of lumbar on the roof rack of our 4Runner. RUST Check / Now Krown ?

We get our vehicles Krowned every two years. They recco every year but I bought a case of the Krown spray cans for like $50 and just spot treat areas where the salt/sand/etc. wear it away. I bought the case 3 years ago and I just finished the first can prepping this year. Haven't had any issues...

    Restoring plastic trim pieces

I've been wanting to try CarPro DLUX but I've had such great luck with regular CQuartz UK 3.0. As mentioned above, prep is key. I power wash them after letting them soak in suds, then wipe them down with alcohol before applying ceramic. A little goes such a long way.
