I have a 2012 Ram 1500, no factory footwell lighting harness from what I can see. I have a couple small, stick on LED lights that I want to wire up under the dash on both sides. I need to tap into the dome light wire as I want the lights to come in when I open the door/ unlock the door. I'm...
Did you notice the truck turning over slowly or struggling to turn over before ? This happened to me and I thought it was my battery but it ended up being a starter. I noticed the truck turning over slowly and eventually nothing happened when turning the key. I had no signs of a weak battery but...
When replacing hubs I took the knuckle right off the truck, threaded the bolts in a few threads, and hit the bolt heads with a hammer till the hub pops out
With me , my pass side has more play then my drivers. So I replaced that CV and still have the same amount of play. I thought the splines may be bad as there is no play coming from inside the diff. Replacing the pass side shaft is not possible without replacing the diff or spending over $600 on...
Is the truck on a jack or lift for this video? Some play in the CV is normal. I know if I wiggle my CVs they make the same noise as well but I don't hear anything when hitting bumps. I replaced my pass side CV with a new one only to have the same amount of play. Splines looked good to me too, no...
This thread includes the alignment specs
https://www.ramforum.com/threads/alignment-specs.31671/
Those numbers look within spec. I dont think your pulling issue is being caused by alignment being out.
I didnt see any number for your thrust angle , any info on that?
Were any other changes made...
What are your alignment specs anyway? The vehicle will pull to the side of less caster and will pull to the side of more camber. It's not the amount that would cause a pull but left and right being different that causes the pull. I'd be curious to see the alignment printout.
Check that the UCAs were installed on the correct sides. This just happened to me with Mevotechs and they couldnt get caster in spec.
A ton of people are using the Zone UCAs with the Bils .
Have you tried tightening down the sway control adjustment ? Reese includes instructions with their friction sway bars on how to properly set them. Do you only have the sway control on one side or both? Does the truck and trailer sit level at the hitch or is there sagging?
I'm pretty cautious...
Maybe wouldn't be too bad on stock 17x8s but 17x7s would probably be cutting it too close if it's a 12.5" wide. Most people would say that the centers would wear quicker than the rest of the tire, but, it's good to see that people have replied saying they haven't had any problems. You most...
Anything is possible, but I feel like precision fab work is needed here. Adding brackets to the frame is one thing but getting everything correctly to ensure proper alignment is going to be key. The opinion here seems to be that trading up to a 3/4 or 1 ton is the most cost effective way to go.
Thank you,
You have 9" wide wheel at 0 offset which is just about the same backspace as the oem 17x7s. In your avatar photo it does look like your tires poke out of the wheel wells a bit. Just wondering how that is as I decide on wheel specs
Thanks for the feedback
How wide are your wheels ?
I have 17x7 oem at 5" BS so I'm just not sure if i should stay in the 5" range or go with a bit less
Thanks I've seen a few threads where that kit was mentioned but couldn't find it. For that price I'm hoping I could find a lower mileage front differential for the truck. I'm just hoping someone could clue me in as to what the ringing / scratching noise could be coming from just behind that...
