I’ve got an ‘85 D150 and my blower motor stopped working, so I ran wires to it straight from the battery and it worked fine.

Seems like the culprit would be the resistor, but a Google search gives conflicting answers of where it is located.

I have looked under the hood as well as in the cab behind the glove box on top; but the only thing on the heater core box is a 2x2 box that is NOT the resistor.

I feel stupid having to ask, but would someone please tell me where to locate the resistor?

Thanks!

I don't know for sure, those are the 2 most common spots but possible that it was put on the bottom of the heater box. If you follow the blower wires at least one should go to the resistor.

Might be on top of the heater box behind the glove box OR could be out in the firewall area outside.

this might help?

or better yet.
