“I’m getting that Ram some more air!!!”

Thank you @revitupmoto33 @ram1500rsm @crazykid1994 and @Nick@GotExhaust for hooking me up.

I finally got a second to installing (worn in) Icon rear springs and fresh Fox shocks. It took me about 2 hours in my driveway by myself. Hardest part was articulating the suspension enough to get the drivers side spring in. Second was the top shock nut, but I had the Thuren “key” for that. I don’t give 2 ***** about the fender liner and didn’t want to pull 2 flares to pop the nut so I made my self a hole. Made it a breeze to remove and reinstall the top shock nuts.

I didn’t take before pics but it seems I may have picked up about a 1/2” over the OEM springs and TGC 3/4” spacers. The huge difference is in ride quality, it’s f’ing gorgeous.

Also, I think it was on @ram1500rsm advice, I did the poor man’s spring retainers. They’re like 14” long and I “acquired” them from work at the motor pool, so I couldn’t tell you where exactly to buy these band clamps.

Awesome! I’m glad they worked for you. The main thing I noticed when switching to the icon from oem springs was the porpoising effect when on the freeway is drastically reduced and the the rear end is much more predictable. Paired with the fox’s I’m sure it makes for a great ride.

Since I don’t do a huge amount of wheeling I opted for the Adventure series Foxes (1-3” lift made for Zone). They’re a good bang for your buck shock based on the quality of materials, valving and extended & collapsed lengths.

After a few hundred miles of driving road manners are vastly improved out back . . . the front definitely needs to Eibachs installed. As for the rear as well, I still get that odd ass shimmy after going over railroad tracks every so often. It’s much improved with the rear shocks/springs but still prevalent, so next up is definitely some Clayton Off-road rear UCA and LCAs, and maybe a panhard bar as well.

I took care of the rear issue with just a set of lower core arms . I want to say it was from GotExhaust on the forum . I think they were the JJ on one end and I think a poly or Clevite on the fixed end
