I am looking to reduce the spring Rate on the rear of my RCSB. Has anyone tried using the Clayton Jeep Gladiator 3.5" HD Triple Rate Rear Coil Springs (2020+, JT)
on the rear of a 1500. If you did how was the ride, what lift did you end up with (hub to fender) and how did it handle loads.

The back of the truck is so light it feels and acts over sprung. I’m thinking it might crawl better with a more compliant suspension.

Thanks!

I have the EVO 6.5" HD triple rate lift springs on my 1500 paired with Bill 5165 Reservoir

I still ended up having to put Airlift 5000 bags on to plant it down.

Dont forget the factory control arm bushings are soft as baby chit as well. Thats why I put the Gladiator control arms on.

Thanks! Looks like you spend some time in the dirt. Are you running any lift?
I forgot to mention that I’m running a 6” BDS lift, core 4x4 control arms, and king shocks. Would those JT springs be tall enough? I don’t mind losing an or so as I can also remove the preload in the front to keep her sitting right.

I had those exact springs installed but couldn’t give you measurement. What I will say is that it should give plenty of rear lift for a 6” lift system. With decked drawers, a bedslide and a leer camper shell plus those drawers filled with as many tools as I could fit in them I still had plenty of room above the tire for 5-6” of shock uptravel before the 35” tires would get into the wheel well.

I really liked the control they had on loads whether towing or hauling stuff in the bed. I’ve loaded them up with roughly 2300lbs in the bed on a few occasions and they do phenomenally well.

A few days ago I went to their non HD 1.5” triple rate springs as I’m lowering the truck for better work use and less off-road use.

If off-roading is your thing, they’re also hard to beat thanks to their extra free length. I have 13” travel bilsteins and at full droop the springs are still nicely seated and not at risk of falling out. They also compress nicely without sagging
