01 not running rite

i have a 01 ram 1500 it will crank when its cold but once you hit the gas it dies and it will kinda recrank with your foot to the floor it backfires and dies. it is flooding out and idk what would cause it to do it

Which motor, when did it start doing this, anything changed on the truck recently? Any CEL?

its 4.7 just started a week ago cant drive it cuz it wont run long enough nothing changed and no check engine light

01s did not come with the 4.7. Dakotas did

^I didnt think they did but wont 100% sure. 01s were the last year for the 5.2 I thought and they also used the 5.9 for alill longer.

Yeah I think 02-03(not sure on 03) still used the 5.9

yeah, although it was rare, some 2003's had the 5.9...
