'02 4.7 1500 Quad sluggish acceleration has misfired chugging a couple times if i hammer it

fuel pump? filters? what are the basic common things to get replaced or checked out for these issues?

have you scanned it any codes? When was last time spark plugs where done? You should also get a fuel pressure guage check the pressure when running ect.

Dealing with that rt now compression test fast and easy first, i threw parts plugs can trigger crank trigger smoke test etc.. do the simple cheap compression test rt off, mine this time valse spring snapped same description as yours dead on.. before that valve seat drop,
