I posted this on a years old thread and thought maybe I should start a new post instead.

This is years later and not sure if anybody will see this post but I was wondering if anybody else has heard of hemis having a hard time starting in the cold after switching to the shorty thunderbolts. I've had the truck for a couple years and bought it right after winter and installed those. The following winter once the temp dropped to low teens and under it will crank and sputter etc but not start. I replaced several sensors etc. Repeat again this winter now. It's only 6 outside currently. I was doing research on testing coils and injectors when i remembered the guy before me had no problem with the truck starting in winter and all i did was change plug wires and plugs and I've had the problem since. Anyone else had this issue or heard of it? I live in iowa so it gets cold quite often here. Next 7 days the high is in single digits.
I replaced the iat, map, crank, cam sensors and a throttle body because the motor went out.

I don't know what a shorty thunderbolt is, but I have seen problems with spark jumping to the block from boots not making a good tight seal on the plug. You might try adding some dielectric grease to the boots. My experience was not with a Ram or a Hemi. You might try going to a hotter plug too.

When the sparkplugs got old on my 2006 Hemi it had trouble starting down below 10°F. Changed the plugs and that fixed it.
