My truck was running fine went to the store no probs. Then on the way home after a red light it felt like it was dragging on the acceleration. My RPM where running around 3000 at all time and just felt sluggish. Few minutes in my check engine light came on. Auto zone was right there so stopped in did a check engine and was told my Trans Control Solenoid was bad. Watched a few videos ( Found none for 08 ram 1500 5.7l) after going all over my trans and around I had no luck finding it. I saw my my trans had some build up and looked to be leaking around gasket so went ahead and dropped the pan. Few vids I saw of older dodges had it in the pan. No luck. Here is the info and part I was given.

Dodge Ram 1500 5.7L V8

Part was given could not find on truck.

Inside my trans pan looks just like this video

This point I'm looking in the wrong place or given the wrong part.

Your transmission is a 545RFE. The solenoid pack is mounted on top of the valve body. That is why you cannot see it. The part listed in the Auto Zone picture looks like the Governor Pressure Solenoid for a 46RE transmission which is entirely different than yours. If you look on the left side of the trans you will see a large black connector with a white latch. That is where the wiring harness connects to the solenoid assembly. Removal of the valve body is necessary to access the solenoid pack.
