08 to 06 hemi swap

everything on these engines seemed the same except the wiring harness i swapped engines and now it wont start

Hope you checked into emissions laws in your state
Most states only allow you to swap to an engine that is of the same year or newer

If the harnesses are different then one might have MDS and not the other. The 8th character in the VIN should be either a "2" or a "D" and if they don't match then that might be your problem.

the 06 is the first year the mds came out

In the 1500 Ram pick-up yes. What kind of truck is your '06 1500 or 2500 and what did the motor come out of? Some pics might help too.

motor came from 08 1500 going in 06 1500

it is the exact same except i think like two sensoers were different

at least the salvage yard said it came from a 1500

I was considering this swap myself and was told that the fuel rails were different from the '06 to '08. I would double check the VIN numbers if you can, also tell us if there is fuel pressure at the fuel rail and if there are any codes. I'm not familiar with the different wiring harnesses but maybe somebody else can help you with that.

i do remember one of the body grounds came off but my brother is the mechanic and he said i didnt need it because i already had one so i wonder if i need that ground i just want my hemi back lol i can do anything but wiring all mechanicals are ready to go

there is fuel pressure i believe this has something to do with the wiring

If the ground strap on the back of the motor isn't connected than I would fix that first.

I would fix that ground and check of the others. Will the truck turn over or nothing at all? The more we know its trying to do when the key is cycled lets us know where we are starting from.

it does nothing light come on inside but even when i jump the starter motor wont start

all dash lights come on but no click and wont run when i jump starter

its like something is stopping the power from reaching switch side of starter and no power to either injectors or coil packs
