Hi All
Hope you can help me here ?
For the the past few weeks I've had an intermittent no start issue, starter motor would run but the engine would not kick in , but would come to life on the 3rd or 4th try.
On Saturday I returned from wheel alignment at 14:00 all fine but at around 18:00 when I tried to leave the house again she just wouldn't startup. after about the 6th or 7th try I gave up and disconnected the negative terminal from the battery (hoping that it might be a ecu sync issue that might reset) and went inside to do some research ,while putting the battery on charge for an hour or so to put back what I've taken out trying to start it.
That's when I became aware of the TIPM fuel relay issue. No Problem I'm thinking I'll attempt the suggested bypass and confirm that that is in fact the issue.
BUT after reconnecting the battery I went to turn the key on and hear if the fuel pump is working or not prior to attempting the bypass, and now she won't do anything !!- the dash is complaining about the "trailer break control" and show the "Service 4wd" light ?, the Radio is asking for a code? and turning the key to start does nothing ????
I've checked all the fuses and relays and their all fine ??
Please help !
This is one of the very few Ram's in South Africa and the importer/agent is 600km away.
I'm attempting to upload a video of what the dash is doing and will add it as I get it right
