I used BBK great for the price point! I also wrapped em. 15,000 miles on them so far no problems.....Looking for some headers to gain a little power. Thanks in advanced
Lmao! I was waiting for him to get a thousand different answers for this.....Afe twisted steel long tubes. Remember you get what you paid for.. This comes with everything I learned the hard way and ended up doing headers twice in a 9 month span. Needless to say that anything bbk will never touch my hemi again....
I know haha. It comes to preferance really. I may have gotten a bad batch or something but I'm a bitter *******[emoji13] especially when I have to do it twice.Lmao! I was waiting for him to get a thousand different answers for this.....
FYI don't use the gasket or bolts that BBK come with.... Stage 8 bolts all the way.

Brandon hunt up a swivel socket like this in the size you need, you can get them in both 1/4" and 3/8" drive,i have them in both, and the 1/4 drive versions are great for starting your header bolts, and the 3/8 drive ones make getting a decent sized rachet on the bolt easy, lolOh definately do your research. Shortys were difficult but long tubes took me almost twice as long. The collector is right where your arm needs to be to get the bolt in lol
Damn those are super low profile! I was using one like that but it kept spinning off. Hopefully I don't have to do these ones ever again! Lol
That and way too easy to strip off the head Too!Make sure you use a 6 point socket,12 points have a tendenancy to slip if you're just slightly off center with the alignment, and are famous for busting your knuckles, lol
I'm bitter about JBA shortys. The cone on the collector is too small and will not seal correctly.Afe twisted steel long tubes. Remember you get what you paid for.. I'm 100% sold on afeI'm bitter about JBA shortys. The cone on the collector is too small and will not seal correctly.
Needless to say nothing JBA will ever touch my truck again.
Also when I installed my AFE's for me they went on WAY easier then the JBA's.
I wish they had the collector spike, and they shouldn't really be marketed as a long tube header.I'm 100% sold on afe
That's fair. I just wanted a cat delete and 3 1/2 header back y pipe and exhaust. Up here way north in canada I don't have inspections or regulations so I'm very lucky.I wish they had the collector spike, and they shouldn't really be marketed as a long tube header.
I mean I like that they are a mid length as I hope to pass visual inspection when SMOG time rolls around.
I still have my CARB sticker from the JBA's and I'm going to try and claim that they are shortys.
Well I've never had headers on anything is there a notice in power? Low-end top end?
