Afe twisted steel long tubes. Remember you get what you paid for.. This comes with everything I learned the hard way and ended up doing headers twice in a 9 month span. Needless to say that anything bbk will never touch my hemi again....

Lmao! I was waiting for him to get a thousand different answers for this.....
FYI don't use the gasket or bolts that BBK come with.... Fel-Pro MS 97083 Exhaust Manifold Gasket, Stage 8 bolts all the way.

I know haha. It comes to preferance really. I may have gotten a bad batch or something but I'm a bitter *******[emoji13] especially when I have to do it twice.

Oh definately do your research. Arh are supposto be the best but price reflects. I chose afe for the fact free shipping to Canada and full stainless system.

Shortys were difficult but long tubes took me almost twice as long. The collector is right where your arm needs to be to get the bolt in lol

Brandon hunt up a swivel socket like this in the size you need, you can get them in both 1/4" and 3/8" drive,i have them in both, and the 1/4 drive versions are great for starting your header bolts, and the 3/8 drive ones make getting a decent sized rachet on the bolt easy, lol

Damn those are super low profile! I was using one like that but it kept spinning off. Hopefully I don't have to do these ones ever again! Lol

Make sure you use a 6 point socket,12 points have a tendenancy to slip if you're just slightly off center with the alignment, and are famous for busting your knuckles, lol

I'm bitter about JBA shortys. The cone on the collector is too small and will not seal correctly.
Needless to say nothing JBA will ever touch my truck again.
Also when I installed my AFE's for me they went on WAY easier then the JBA's.

ARH long tube headers are widely known to be the the highest quality and fit the best of any header for the 5.7. They are also the most expensive. There are many other brands of headers and people have had success with these other brands however some people have had nothing but problems with them. Some fit, some don't, some seal some don't, some last for years, some don't. I have NEVER heard anyone complain about the quality or fitment of the ARH's. The only complaint seems to be the price. IMHO---pay now or pay later.

I wish they had the collector spike, and they shouldn't really be marketed as a long tube header.
I mean I like that they are a mid length as I hope to pass visual inspection when SMOG time rolls around.
I still have my CARB sticker from the JBA's and I'm going to try and claim that they are shortys.

That's fair. I just wanted a cat delete and 3 1/2 header back y pipe and exhaust. Up here way north in canada I don't have inspections or regulations so I'm very lucky.

Well I've never had headers on anything is there a notice in power? Low-end top end?

With a tune there's a noticeable power increase with a set of long tubes and matching Y pipe.Between the small primaries in the factory log manifolds and the crushed Y pipe where the 2 cylinder banks merge ,there's a pretty decent increase in the seat of the pants feel,by opening up the exhaust side of the engines.
