The big issue is with the heavy pin weight. We had a 39' goose neck we hauled for the race cars with my dads f-250 and in the front it had 15k watt diesel generator air controls and a 60 gallon fuel tank all right in front. My dad tosses Firestone bags on it and the truck sat level but the tires flexed something feairce it's a good thing we never had to haul It very far and really needed a dually for it. Most fifth wheels are +2000 on the hitch plus if you tow cross country could you image a blow out on a SRW with a 2-3000lb pin weight... A 3500 is were it should stop in my mind. If you have to buy a commercial vehicle for recriational use it might be a little much... But who am I to judge..
