those are timbrens you knob :roflsquared: unbolt them and replace them with stock bumpstops.someone was carrying a heavy load with that truck.they bolt through the top.you can remove them and forget about it.

Question, does it matter what they are? They're his and making them shorter is free. Or would it be better to remove them, buy stockers and put the Timbrens in a drawer and forget about them? Are they worth big bucks maybe and you may want to buy them?
Just curious.

Timbrens for the 2009-2016 Ram don't bolt in. They just snap into the bump-stop cup.

I thought they might be but I thought timbrens were suppose to improve the ride and not be a hard stop?
Some people complain about Timbrens when under no to lights loads as they can feel the axle hit them going over bumps.

That's exactly what it feels like.

Try putting some weight in the bed. If you live in a cold/snow area you can keep it all winter. See if the weight improves your ride. You may like them with a load.
I'm weird I bought my 1/2 ton for my comfort. Hate the squat with any weight. Added air bags, I air up to haul wood. Driving over to the sugar bush, I notice the rear "clunk" over bumps. And I feel I'm driving a 3/4 ton.

Pull the Timbrens, just lift the back of the truck up a couple of inches, twist and pull down to get them out. Your issue should go away. Install a set of stock bump-stops.

Yeah I live in NH so it's about to get cold and snowy. I prefer comfort so I'll just get these removed and put some Bilstein on it.

Yep those are Timbren bumps. Nice when you have a load but ride like crap when you don't. That should fix your issue.

well thats a bummer, if he had a 5th wheel hitch he was towing a 5th wheel which im sure was stressful on a 1500... crawl under the and try to find a part number on the springs and see what you find.

That's your first problem. A 1500 should never be pulling a fifth wheel.

Let me know how much you'd sell them for. Wish I hadn't already bought air bags.

Isn't there a wanted section? You can ask people with drops or doing drops.
