I asked this question in the general discussion already but I was just wondering what the difference in ride height is between a stock 02-05 1500 and 2500. If I have a lift on my 1500 will it just look like a level on a 2500?

Well not sure seeing as different trim levels and engines can effect the rid height quite a lot. If I can get a picture of my2007 Ram 1500 sitting beside another 2007 I can show you that mine is around 3 to 4 inches lower. Also a 4wd will sit higher due to the extra stuff underneath.
So in saying the ride height can vary between trucks a lot.

About 4" give er take variables.

The 2500 rides on a different frame and has a solid front axle (assuming we're talking 4x)

I would say a difference of about 3 inches. Everyone askes me if my 2500 is lifted because there is mostly 1500's around. But like mentioned its got a thicker frame, and beefed up suspension.

Where in NJ you from? Anywhere close to freehold?

If you raise the front end of a 1500 that much, don't plan on towing anything comfortably set up like that.

I had a 1500 with no level, the **** sank about 3-4" when my 4500lb trailer was attached to it.... if the front was leveled, it'd be 3-4" higher then the **** and you'd likely get all sort of handling issues. The suspension doesn't like the body sitting reversed...

I'm in North Jersey in Bergen county. I have heard of Freehold but I don't think i'm that close... :(

Even with a drop hitch? I was planning on towing light weight stuff in a dump trailer for my friend. I thought that a lot of the weight would be added by having the trailer at an angle and the drop hitch would relieve some of that and not push the suspension down so far..

Yeah, Bergen county! I hate this county right now cause of Christmas, can't go anywhere without running over at least 6 people, it is insane!

Anyways, I would just grab a drop hitch and see how it works out, I recently just moved 330lbs of server rack stuff to a scrap yard. Truck didn't budge height wise but I also have Bilsteins installed.

Yeah, I have aftermarket shocks that are coming with my Zone lift. I will probably put bilsteins on because everyone raves about them.
