I drive a '17 1500 Big Horn RWD. I've been looking to level it out solely because I dont like the factory rake. I ordered the Supreme Suspension leveling kit awhile back but I wanted to replace the shocks and UCAs while I'm at it because why not

I ordered Bilstein 5100's back in March, and they are still on back order with a new shipping date of September. Rather than keep waiting, does anyone have any recommendations I could go with for shocks? Doesn't have to be top of the line but don't want something super cheap.

Any help is appreciated!

Since you have a 2wd the shocks aren't what's providing the level/lift so it sounds to me like what you're looking for is a shock that provides similar quality to the 5100's . I'm sure there are other good ones out there but I'll stick to commenting on what I know first hand. KYB Monomax have really similar construction quality to the Bilsteins and the same diameter piston, my prior experience with those on another platform was they're a little less firm than Bilsteins (on the same vehicle) but overall more alike than different.

Thanks

Since you're installing a 2-3" spacer in the front ? you should look for longer shocks, not factory ones.
You have the following shocks for 0-2.5"
Maxtrac Fox 2.0 part# 762115F
Fox 2.0 OE part# 985-24-096
CST 2.0 Dirt series part# CSR-5536
Theyre a tad more expensive then 5100, you'll also want aftermat UCA's as these shocks are more performance oriented and have more travel than 5100's

I was actually thinking of going with the Maxtrac Shock and Coil 2.5 Front End Lift and not doing the spacers at all. Figured that might be better overall. I've heard they're a good brand. Also, I already ordered some better UCAs because I've heard terrible things about the ball joints
Thanks for the tips
