Hit 90 mph a couple times...no flexing whatsoever ... were you in aero mode or normal?....mine was in aero if that matters?

Funny you mention that. I have a part of my commute where I run about 85mph for a few minutes. Parts of the road have a few irregularities that I'll get some lift and some downhill twists with light braking just to scrub off maybe 10-15 mph. I did notice what I thought was cowl shake, but now that you mention it, my '15 was as solid as a bank vault. I'll watch it tomorrow. Btw, anyone notice on their '19's that the drivers door doesn't close flush with the rear door? It's like a fraction of an inch, no wind noise or anything, just another item on the punch list when I go in for my first service.
So, I've now put 100 miles on my new Limited, and during highway speeds the hood flexes. It's like a suction effect with the center of the hood compressing in and out when I go around 60mph or more. I realize the hood is aluminum, so maybe this is normal? Would it help if I adjusted the hood bump stops? It's a little unnerving to see the hood flexing like that. I had to actually pull over the first time I noticed it to ensure the hood was properly closed. If this is normal, then I will live with it but admittedly I have never owned a vehicle where the hood flexes like this. Maybe my truck is a transformer and is teasing me as it's in the beginning stages of changing into Maximus Prime![]()
Hello Everyone,
I wanted to share a TSB that sounds like what you all are describing.
Number 23-029-18
Subject:
Hood vibrates, shakes or flutters while driving at highway speeds
Symptom/condition: Customers may experience the hood outer surface to have a shake or flutter while driving at highway speeds above 65mph.
Please note I am not a trained technician, so I cannot confirm this is exactly what you're experiencing. However, if you end up taking it into the dealer, feel free to send me a direct message. I'd be glad to help with that process.
