Hey guys new here, but I have a 2017 ram 1500 and I'm tired of the awful rake it has. I called a dealer to buy the leveling kit i knew they offered at one point, but they no longer offer it apparently. but now they have a full 2-inch lift kit all the way around front and rear. here is the kit itself https://store.mopar.com/oem-parts/mopar-lift-kit-p5155797?c=bD0xJm49U2VhcmNoIFJlc3VsdHM= So my question is how does this look installed? Did and of you guys get it down and did it fix and rake at all or would I still need a different way to level it.. I have the Mopar unlimited miles lifetime warranty on my truck, and I don't want to lose it or void it somehow. I did read through the Mopar warranty contract and the 2" Mopar lift kit will not void any part of the warranty as long as it's done by a Mopar approved shop. Can anyone show me what theirs looks like and if there was still rake what did they do fix it. This is what mine sits at currently.

If the level is done with spacers (pucks) it could void your warranty as it changes the angle of the front cv 4WD shafts and could cause issues (assuming you're 4X4).

A proper level would be to look at the Bilstein 5100's and set the fronts to 2.1" raised & reuse the stock springs (provided the springs aren't worn to Fffff...out ;)

If they are, then go with the Bilstein 6112 for the fronts and set them at 2.1" raised. Any higher than that and you'll also need to install new upgraded upper control arms.

With either Bilstein option I would also install the Bilstein 5100 rear shocks (also reusing the stock springs) as having a matched set of fresh front struts and rear shocks will ensure that the dampening and rebound rates are the same. Thus providing you with proper control and feedback from the road.

With the fronts set to 2.1" raised you'll be at an almost full level with only the slightest rake forward (virtually unnoticeable). This is ideal especially if you load the bed or tow ;)

Do ensure you get a good alignment from a reputable shop as well after the installation!

Bilstein is also MOPAR's OEM supplier for their higher end suspension, too.
I had my new Warlock done at the dealership before taking delivery of it and my truck is fully factory warrantied with zero issues.

EDIT ** - that kit you linked are the Bilstein's I just mentioned, but also have the rear springs, too ;)

A 2” lift will have the same rake as you have now , it will just sit taller . But same on the rake.
If you did not mind , a set of lower springs for the rear would level it . So could trimming or cutting a bit from the coils . I would imagine no one would ever be able to recognize the change.
Especially after it gets some dirt and grime to cover any witness marks.

Just to clarify, any level kit is changing the angle of the front cv shafts the same. There is no difference in this change whether it's a $100 Amazon spacer or a $1,000 set of coil overs. If it levels, or raises, the front 2" it changes the cv shafts the same amount. The only way around this is if you did some sort of front differential drop.

So you don’t tow anything with your truck? A level level will sit way nose high with a trailer attached and your headlights will blind the ef out of people. Keep a 1.25” rake as rams also look nose high level level.

I had that exact lift for 10 years on my 2015 but it's a RCSB so the amount of rake would not be the same with a heavier truck.

It's probably worth mentioning that the Mopar P5155797 consists only of Bilstein 5100 struts up front. 100% of the other parts in that kit go in back (lift coil springs, much longer rear shocks with about 10% more overall travel, brackets that lower the sway bar end links and brake cable retainers, pads for the bumpstops to protect the longer shocks) . If the whole kit won't void your warranty I can't imagine just the front struts by themselves would.. which means you probably don't need to buy the whole kit.

On a strut that has a fixed length if you change the ride height on the strut with a different spring or a different spring perch location (spring preload) you still have the same absolute range of motion from the strut.

If you put a spacer on a strut you have made the strut longer and changed the range of motion.

Those are not the same thing. At static ride height the CV angles might be the same either way but most people drive their trucks.

If you level the truck by raising the front ride height 2", you have increased the CV shaft angle. It simply doesn't matter how you did it.....spacer, spring, different strut, etc.... 2" is 2" in regards to the CV angle.

Here's a thought experiment. You lift the left side of your truck with a Bilstein 5100 using the stock spring and just move the spring perch to the 2.1" position. You lift the right side of your truck by putting a spacer on top of the stock strut assembly that results in the exact same amount of lift.

Now begin to jack the vehicle up by the frame. Which tire lifts off the ground first?

Also looking to level my 2023 Rebel. So all i need is the shocks and not the springs as well? Its no problem using the stock springs?
I dont have anything to tow so not concerned with it being a slight pitch down so ill be looking at the 2"-2.1". Just want to change the rims and tires but not too big. Looking at 34" tires and 20" wheels. Maybe id stick with 18" , havent decided yet.

Pretty sure that's a 5th gen truck. Your wheels got 6 lug nuts? 5th gen.. not going to use the same struts or lift kit as a 4th gen

Yes 6.....also seeing I may need to change the UCAs. If I do, I found both the Bilstein and KSP brand UCAs on Amazon so if I don't need them it's a easy return but for only $239 , I'll just put them on. Much cheaper than JPA.
