Just got my truck back from getting the Mopar bed lights (https://www.mymoparparts.com/oem-parts/mopar-bed-light-kit-82215272ad) installed at the dealership. First off, I overpaid just to get them done quick while getting my inspection.

First thing I did was try the on/off switch, didn’t turn on. I had to unlock the truck or turn the cargo bed light on inside to get the bed lights to come on.. this doesn’t seem normal or like they were installed correctly.

Next, while I’m pushing the overhead lights inside, I hear some sort of sound come through the speaker that was never there before.. so seems like there’s some kind of electrical issue, any idea what that is?

Anyway, I’m calling them tomorrow to figure out what’s going on. My only concern is that I don’t even trust them to fix the problem which is a problem in itself.

Anyone ever come across this issue or know what would be causing this?

I have OE bedlights in my Warlock.

Something sounds a little irregular with how your's are functioning.

I can turn mine on from the cab or the bed.

I'm not sure if they will come on from the bed while locked. I will test tomorrow sometime.

As for the unusual sound, is this with the stereo volume cranked or set high?

Does increasing or decreasing the stereo volume effect the noise?

.

On my prior Ram 1500, I could turn on the bed lights even with the truck off.

As for the sound, I can hear it when the truck isn’t even running. When I push any of the over head lights, it’s a weird sound that seems to be coming from the speaker on the driver side.

Thanks for the response!

If you paid them to install the lights, take it back and have them fix it/ make it work.
