20 inch wheels - want to go to 17's ???

i have a 2012 1500 crew cab, express package. it came with the 20" cast aluminum wheels. i want to switch to either 17 or 18" wheels. the reason being in snow and rain the stock tire size is too wide, hydroplanes and floats on the snow. want to go to a narrower tire, and there are more options in 17 and 18 inch tires. is there going to be any clearance problems with 17" wheels? i dont think there will be since the outdoorsman edition has 17" wheels on it. any advice or tips would be great. thanks.

BMXNICK, thanks. i kinda figured there wouldnt be. just thought i would throw it out there. live in the PA. mountains and in the snow the wide tires just dont cut it, even with new tires its tricky especially on wet snow.

i just got 17s on my 2013 sport. fits fine and looks sharp, your spare should be a 17 as well
