I bought the truck from a guy a couple of weeks ago not knowing this issue he told me after i bought the truck. When i got the truck home i went to back up and it died the only way to back up is if i double foot it and the truck will also do it sometimes at idle. But also it only does it when the trucks warm. I got my obd2 out and i cleared the codes and went on a drive and code P0138 came back up. Would a o2 sensor do this? My last dodge was a 97 with a 360 and it was straight piped with no 02 sensors and it ran fine.So any input would help me at this point.

Install new plugs , wires if needed , clean the hell out of the throttle body and upper plenum , install new IAC Valve & PCV valve then run a tank 0f 91+ octane with additive Seafoam through it .

My last Dodge did this the above fixed it , basically with no oil catch can ever have been installed my throttle body and upper plenum was coated with burnt oil and carbon /gunk from the PCV valve discharge @ 95,000 miles .
Oh install an oil catch can.

Hope this helps !

Easy way to see if o2 it's causing it. Unplug o2 (one at a time).
Then do what R.L.K said.

You bought a truck from "A GUY" and he told you about the problems "AFTER" you bought it?
DID YOU NOT TEST DRIVE THE TRUCK FIRST? Or did you buy it sight unseen and went by what he said over email?
Still, this is completely YOUR FAULT.
Hope you got a :love51:
