2002 5.9 MPG/Chip Review

Hi,
I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 with the 5.9. I’ve seen that it’s pretty near impossible to improve mpg on these guys. I found a chip that may provide some relief with user restraint. Wondering if anyone has used a perform chip revamp?https://performancechiprevamp.com/dodge-ram-1500-performance-chip
Plugs in near the throttle bottle, just adjusts the air/fuel ratio and nothing else. Input is appreciated.

Complete snake oil. It's just a resistor. Will only make your truck run rich, and hurt your mileage.

I just purchased a 2004 quad cab hemi and was only getting 7-8 mpg city. I just installed a programmer(SuperChip flashpaq) and now i am getting 13.1 plus that was for the performance 91 setting havent tried the gas saver x mode yet. The truck now feels like a race truck for 1st and 2nd gear. also I went out to the mountains today (BigBear CA) It was pulling up the hills effortlessly. I am happy to say I am a Forever Truck owner. =) Im hoping to keep seeing the average climb. will update when I travel more miles.

I find this hard to believe. In the 9yrs I’ve owned my truck I’ve never gotten that bad or that good of city mpg. It will vary but to say it jumps 5+ mpg just cause a tune is ********, but you are in Ca so you do prob have some sort of **** fuel over yonder.
