My husband inherited a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT, runs on gasoline, and 4.7 L engine from his father when he passed away. The vehicle has only about 49,000 miles since his dad traveled for work and mostly used it during the weekends. It sat largely untouched for the past few years while estate details were figured out since his dad did not have a will.
Anyways...long story short, he is not trying to bring it back into the condition that his dad had it in previously.
There is a part (a hose) that is broken and he is not sure exactly what it is or where to get it from. He thinks it is the vacuum hose line that attaches to the purge valve solenoid that is part of the EVAP system. The one he has is broken so he doesn't know what it connects to or what that part is called. He did take a video to try to give a visual of what he is seeing.
The truck seems to run fine w/ it broken, but the truck engine light does come on and without fixing it, the truck will probably not pass inspection. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
