I am trying to make some replacement transmission lines for my truck because currently I have rubber hose and clamps between the cut sections of hard line and I sprung another leak where the lines are Heald down near the engine.
So far from research I found that I will need 8an fittings and 1/4"npt. I would like to know if firstly this is correct and also if it is for each of the 3 transmission lines which fitting I will need on each . I really appreciate any help. I have been looking at multiple forums which is where I got the previous mentioned fitting sizes but have not found a tutorial or lost of fittings needed for each hose.

From what I've gathered so far I believe I am going in the right direction but a breakdown would be amazong. I have a list of fittings I believe would work ( which I will provide screen shots of) but need a bit of guidance.

Thanks !

My self I would not be using Gas line hose on a transmission line, I would either get another steel line or use quality braided hose...

I agree, I don't know if fuel line will hold up under the heat and pressure of a trans fluid.
On my '97 Dodge 4x4 I used a piece of high pressure hydraulic hose to replace a leaking rubber section where it went into the radiator. It's been on there for over 20 years with no leaks. I did use double clamps on both ends.

I didn't replace any fittings. I just used a flaring tool to make a flair on the end of both lines.
