2009 4.7l 1500 slt

Hello all. First time poster however I've been a long time lurker. I got my Ram about 2 years ago and just really started into the performance aspect of the truck after getting the wheel/tire combo and suspension setup straight. I have a K&N Intake and swapped out the stock muffler for a Super 44. Just installed a Bully Dog Platinum Gas tuner and have it on the Regular tune. I noticed some extra pull to it but nothing that makes me go "damn". Are there really any other mods that can be done to the 4.7? I tried doing a search for just "4.7" under the performance section but nothing came up. I think there is a Throttle Body but never really looked into it. Any 4.7L gurus out there to give a newb to the platform some pointers?

Honestly, you are better off selling what you got and trading for decent used one with a 5.7 Hemi. When you are all done throwing money at a 4.7, you will probably be there in money spent had you opted for the used Hemi to begin with.

Gotta agree with Hootbro. I spent a pile on a 4.7 to get to 250 hp,finally gave up and bought a hemi.Your best bet is to throw a set of 4.10's or deeper in it.There isn't really all that much in the way of bolt-ons for the 4.7,AirRaid sells a CAI,you can do a tuner,Matt sells a ported throttle body,but other then that,it's mighty slim pickings in the way of affordable bolt-ons. Louie/ Darkknight did a nitrous set-up on his a few years ago,and managed to put it into the high 13's

Hell, even the new Pentastar V6 outshines the 4.7 of old. I get the OP is trying to work with what he has but the math for the gains would not be there no matter what he did.
