2009 Laramie iPod will NOT work!

Buddy has a 2009 laramie. Plug the special cord into the uconnect, won't work. Has a REN radio. Has anybody successfully had this work? Getting really old.

Has he updated the uconnect module to latest firmware?(this fixed my issue with my iPhone), I still had a problem with my ipod and found my ipod firmware was way old, ipod was like 5 years old and I hadn't connected it to itunes for awhile. Once I updated that did the trick.

The one that would be glove box? It plugs right into the uconnect module. After research, he needs to get a new uconnect module itself to support it. I'll. Get part numbers for others tomorrow.

Well I wasn't sure cause you can use either usb port with ipods. But that sounds like it's gonna be an interesting upgrade
