Ok, so I installed a full length center console from a 2021 2500 (Laramie) in my 2019 2500 (Power Wagon).

Everything seems to work, EXCEPT the Wireless Charger (not a huge surprise, and don’t really care), and the rear USBs. Other things at the back of the console work, including the USB in the armrest, the light under the armrest, and the 115V AC plug at the back of the console DO work, so the harness is getting power back there. It sounds like others have had some difficulty getting the rear USB module to work as well, on their center console swaps.

I would like to get the rear USBs to work (power/charging at least).

The rear USB module that came with my console is p/n P68572629AA. It only has a 4-pin connector on the rear, no USB Micro Female connectors. It has the “charge only” (battery with lightning bolts) printed on the front, not the USB multimedia icon. There was a loose USB Micro -Male connector in the back of my console, not connected to anything.

I have found a couple of part numbers for other rear media hubs that have the USB trident logo on them, and they seem to have the 4-pin plug, plus dual USB Micro-Female connectors on the back.

Do we think that swapping one of these modules with the USB-Micro-female ports would do the trick? Maybe need to plug in the loose USB Micro-Male cable at the back of my Console?

Anything I need to activate in AlpaOBD?

Future Searchers, this is Resolved: replaced rear usb hub that was charge only with one that is a “media” usb hub, which has USB-micro-F connx on the back. I plugged the 4pin connector plus the loose USB cable in. It doesn’t seem to work as a media hub with the Uconnect, but it does charge things now, and that is what I care about.

FWIW, this console was a bit of a mystery. It came from a Chrysler testing vehicle (per VIN), and was a mishmash of parts that didn’t correlate with the build date or the trim level necessarily. So, YMMV.
