What part is needed to fix the compass? I'm tired of the calibration "Cal" being on my instrument cluster.
2010 dodge ram 1500 5.7l 4x4 compass "fail" dealership said part to fix it is discontinued.

Compass module located in the overhead light. It looks like this if you don't have the HomeLink buttons. Do you have the garage door opener built in?

I have one that I just picked up from the Pic A Part, off of a 2012. Not sure if it works, but, looks good. Part # 56046062AC. In fact, I have the whole overhead light assy. Doesn't have the Home Link buttons. 1 mounting tab is broken, but, can be plastic welded.

2012 should be the last compatible year for yours so you should be good to go.

Compass is in the EVIC
Compass displays on the EVIC. I think the compass module is still in the overhead. I'll have to pop mine out and check it tomorrow.

I believe, as was mentioned
If a 1500 Dodge Ram part was last used in 2012 models
That would mean that the same part would still be made for the 2013 Heavy Duty Dodge Ram.
Heavy Duty Ram , during the Chrysler Ownership, was 1 Model Year behind the 1500 model Rams
Some Dodge part collectors Might still have what is referred to as NEW OLD STOCK !
New Old Stock means:
The PART is New, usually in the Original Container
Old Stock, usually means that the Part is either No Longer Made, or very close to that mark
If a 1500 Dodge Ram part was last used in 2012 models

Nope, if you have the Homelink a similar module is used but it also has the Homelink functions in it.
