3.5 to 7 inch, compass was showing, now it isn't

Hey all,
I swapped out the 3.5 for a 7 inch screen/gauge cluster, reset the odo, idle hrs, and drive hrs. I had the compass in the upper left of the screen but there were 2 dashes instead of N,S,E,W, etc. I changed it to time setting, then figured, since my 3.5 had the compass, why not this? I went back in to change it back to compass and try to figure out why the compass was only showing dashes, and now it's not even in the menu where you can change what is in the upper left corner of the screen. It's a 2018 Ram 1500 Express. I'm thinking it's something to change or show present in alphaobd, but I can't find the compass in the BCM menu of alphaobd.
Has anyone ran into this, and if you fixed it, what did you do? I'm also thinking something may have come unplugged from behind the headunit when I took that out to hard wire in a dash cam.

Yep, couldn't fix it. In my case, it was the radio. If you unplug it I'd be interested to know if it works.

It's very frustrating. I never really use the compass but it would be nice to have all the features working you know? I did get the compass setting to show up again in the menu as I found one compass setting in the BCM with the alphaobd that wasn't set to yes(forget which one) but it still just shows the 2 dashes. Wondering if I need to go to a parking lot and do figure 8's to get it to calibrate like I had to with older vehicles.

FOr me it was one particular 8.4" UAS radio (one of many) that gave me this particular issue. I tried pretty much everything. Have you made any changes to the radio?

Did you install them with relays or just use the factory wiring for the 55w kit? No relays, so far so good. If I notice problems I'll get the relay kit. I am still waiting on the new deeper dust covers with grommet holes pre-drilled. These lights do not fit under the stock caps. To get by...

I replaced the factory radio a couple years ago with a Kenwood DDX9707S but the compass display showed still on the 3.5 screen. I just found the compass setting on the Kenwood so I'm just gonna use that if I need a compass I guess lol.
