I recently purchased a 2012 Ram 1500QC Lonestar package.
It has the 130S radio with UConnect, bluetooth, steering wheel controls, Sirius/XM and the remote USB port in the upper glove box.
The system and all functions appear to be working correctly.
I purchased this as a Certified Pre-Owned from a dealer, and have discovered a few mods made by the original owner.
One add-on I discovered under the passenger side rear seat is the OEM 8" subwoofer has been added. It is not currently working with the system - it is not connected.
Under the drivers seat, I have found where the original owner had installed a subwoofer amp - which has been removed. What I have there are red and black wires (power wires). There is a a thinner blue wire which is probably controlled by the ignition, a set of RCA plugs and a speaker wire which runs to the sub-woofer.
From what I have read,
I realize that this woofer is not the best choice, but I am not looking to replace it with another.
My choice at this time would be to either remove it and reclaim the storage areas under the seat or hook it up for what little benefit it might give.
QUESTION:
If all the wires are still hooked up and ready to go, what kind/size of amp should I be looking for?
I really have not found much technical info about that subwoofer,
Thanks in advance for any help.
