Hey all,
I have a 2017 1500 Sport with the 9-Speaker Alpine system. I would like to replace the stock subwoofer with an aftermarket sub that has better sound, but wondering if it is a "straight swap", or if there's anything extra I need to do.
I'm looking at the following sub as a replacement:

Dual 12" 1,600W Max Power Loaded Subwoofer Enclosure Compatible with 2002-2018 Dodge Ram Crew & Quad Cab Trucks

I do see that the new sub box just has 1 audio in connection, and by what I've read elsewhere, the wiring harness has 4 wires, so which would I bypass and which would I use to connect to the new sub?
Also, keep in mind, this is only temporary. I do plan to replace the stock sub amp with an aftermarket amp (probably this one: https://skaraudio.com/products/rp-1200-1d-car-amplifier), but I'm impatient and want at least some better bass coming from the back seat now.

Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

If you are asking if you can just hook up that dual 12" subwoofer setup and use the stock amp, absolutely not.

The stock sub is maybe a couple hundred watts. It will never power that setup. I also highly doubt the stock amp is 1ohm stable.

If you want to add those dual 12's, that amp will pair well. Then use something like an Audiocontrol LC2i or a PAC audio AmpPRO for a signal.
