My truck have the key loose when inserted into the key slot at the ignition module and with any misalign cuts the truck power even driving
I took it to an electronic expert and said that can't be repaired outside the official dealership, because the ignition module need to be programmed by the factory with my VIN number and will cost $600 plus installation and programming for a total of around $1,000 dlls.
When I turn on the truck, I need to move the key sideways until it makes contact and after that with a turn or bump disconnects the power
The remote control for the doors at the key doesn't work also, so fixing the ignition module and getting a new key, you are getting the usage of the remote opener for the doors.
I tried junkyard modules but doesn't work because there is a different VIN number
My truck is a 2012 model worth $5,000, so spending $1,000 is 20% of tthe value.
