Hi all!
I'm new to the forum and new to the Cummins and ram let alone diesels. I have don't as full delete on my truck and love it. Besides I have to keep getting under it and resetting a hook on the after market exhaust to stop a vibratiting noise.

Ok on to my current problem. I am in a learning phase on this truck. I have had many different stories on how to get 35" tires on my truck. I have a 1" leveling kit on it now and was originally told that would work. But after visiting a few stores in the Indianapolis area I am being told I need a 4" lift.... Which has been different per store so now I am heading to other owners who know more than me. I'm looking to hopefully get 35" nitro trail grabbers on 18" wheels. Any advice on this?

It's not as much about the lift as it is the width of the tire and the backspacing of the rim that determines how much you will rub.

I am running 305/70/17s (34x12 r17) on stock polished rims. I get no rubbing on anythign unless i am at full lock to the right and driving over a curb or somethign like that. If you use a wheel with less backspacing (sticks out further than factory) or use wheel spacers, you can run 35s on a stock suspension.

It's easy to fit 35x12.50's on a leveled Ram 2500 as long as you don't try to use a 12 or 14 inch wide wheel. If you use the most common wheel specs for our trucks, 9 inches wide with 4.5 or 5 inches of backspacing, you can fit 35x12.50's easily. You may have to trim a little plastic at the most.

Thank you. Does anyone know a good 17" rim with the proper back spacing?

Honestly, there are like a million options there. I'd suggest looking at some pics and get an idea of what you like. Personally, I like a lot of the BMF, Fuel and KMC XD wheels.

Google 'custom offsets'. They have tons of pics and specs on their website. I think you can even order from them I think...
