2012 Express 4x4, 4.56 Gears and Superchips Flashpaq...

I have a 2012 Express 4x4 and I have been ready to pull the trigger on a BDS 6" Lift and 35x12.5x17 Thornbirds... I am waiting on Yukon and Superchips to email me back on an expected date on these items, but no answers yet.

I want to put 4.56 gears in and programe the MDS off...

Does anyone know anything about gears or superchips programers?

IT could be a while. The 2011s are still awaiting a superchips too, so thats gonna be a while most likely. And no idea on the gears.

you are going to be waiting a while. No programmer can tune 2011 or 12 yet, they cannot crack the computer.

Same with gears, no one make gears for the ZF axle yet, so you are limited to OEM gears

And I really want 4.56's. I can't believe they'd produce a truck with 33" tires and 3.55s. It's redic!

I'm also waiting for Yukon gears. Maybe I should call Randy's once a week to 'drum up interest"

I know that Candy here on the forum just put 4.56 Youkon gears in his Ram and they had to do some cutting and custom work to get it to work. As of now there are not any programers out for out trucks.

Here is a link you can track for Diablo to come out with the tuner for our truck. They were the first ones to crack the 09-10 Ram so I would think they would be the first for the 11-12 Ram.

I wouldn't trust their stuff on my truck. Been there done that........SuperChips customer for life here.

I will say two things.
1. Had to grind housing on my 09 to fit 4.56 gears.
2. My Hypertech with sonnex better than Superchips and trans tune. IMO

I contacted superchips 3 times in 2 months to ask for the date expected, and zero emails back.

As far as OEM gears, they make 4.10's? Would thoughts be good enough for 35's?

Well if you go on the superchip forums they stopped answering questions about the tuners there to but every time i asked i got will be 2 more months lol its been about 12 months

A local shop quoted me $225 for a C8-456, are these the right ones?

Motive 4.56 ration Front ring and pinion gear set for Dodge Ram 4x4s. This is for the 8.0" front differential.

I think the front will work, but no one makes 4.56s for the rear ZF axle.

No, that is the pre 2011 rear axle. Ram 1500s no longer use the chrysler 9.25 rear axle, the use a ZF axle that no one makes an aftermarket gearset for.

Only options are swap in a 2009 or 2010 ecu so you can get a tuner and swap in a 2009 or 2010 rear end

That's what I am talking about you want something you make it happen. Anything can be done. Reminds me of Integrated Trailer Brake that I was told I could not have in my '09. No path.... make one.
